Before starting the process of installing your ceramic tiles you will need to make sure the floor where you are going to installing them is ready. The floor should be completely flat and very stable. All screws and nails should be flush with the wood. Nothing should be let sticking up. Everything needs to be completely flush. You can add plywood to help flatten the floor in that particular area. Any paint of greases should be removed from the flooring. All baseboard and trim should be removed and reinstalled after the tile installation is complete. Be sure to clean the work about before beginning.

If your ceramic tiles are in need of repair you will need a list of tools. You will need grout sealer, adhesives, a large sponge, a trowel or putty knives. You will also need tile grout, awl, chisels, hammers, and nails or screws. Work gloves and safety glasses are also recommended for your safety. The process of repairing a few tiles is moderately difficult. It is a good idea to buy more tiles than you need. Having a few extra tiles helps if you accidently break a few. You need to be sure to clean up any excess grout. Failure to do so could lead to a filmy residue.
