Relationships Designed to Edify Spirit

I couldn’t characterize myself as downright satisfied being bored with most men (who isn’t?) and be 100% truthful. Even then, I’m not unsatisfied with the reality of life, either. I just bring it up on the blogosphere as an ear-catching detail introducing what I will shortly discuss honestly.

A week ago today I met for coffee with Corey, considering joining the Phoenix Great Expectations dating service. As of this minute, I sit to the blogosphere as a surprisingly pleased member of the singles network. For real, I am. It’s full of fun, attractive people! If you’ve been paying attention, you’re probably thinking, “Stop blabbering and tell me about it already.”

Here’s how it went down, I noticed this Great Expectations Dating site and can really get behind their approach. They’re for quality and professional singles who think dating should have a point.

Because in all honesty I’d never been a fan of what serial daters (ie: everyone I know) call “Dating.” I faced it more than you know. Each night they nagg, “Are you two serious yet?” and “Just get out there and date him!”

“Baloney!” I say to them, smiling ear to ear. “There’s nothing to date!”

“Whatever doofus,” they say. “You haven’t dated in a year, you wouldn’t know!”

Thankfully, that’s my best friend (she’s the best) (hehe) Stacey Feldman. She sets rational thought to my mind to put me back on course. Loved ones are always there to offer perspective. No countering that, and I thank her for it.

Returning to the meaning of this blog entry. As I browsed from thousands of quality singles for my first singles event with Great Expectations, I acknowledged something true. Over the last year, I hadn’t entertained any figurative great expectations for dating in the adventurous winding course of being human. Single life has its perks, even more so if you take the opportunity to meet new people. Having great expectations makes a difference for those who believe.
