Industry Looking Forward to Fast Broadband Service Once HSPA+ is Introduced

The Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) has recently concluded a survey intended to see what the expectations for the speed of future broadband are, especially because HSPA+ is scheduled to be launched in 2011. Most of the respondents to the research questions suggested that the speed would be a minimum of 21Mb, the same speed that has been discussed a lot in the last three quarters in and around the industry, since the possibility of bringing HSPA+ to the market was introduced.

This finding was published in a report named ‘Mobile Broadband - The Next Baseline’ published by the GSA after a two and a half month long survey. This survey was conducted after the GSA found in July 2010 that the current minimum speed is around 7.2Mb, based on the fact that half of the networks provide a peak speed of 7.2Mb or more, and the speed is also supported by most of the mobile devices. This news encouraged people to look for the future of broadband speed.

Most of the times, users are very circumspect about speed claims as they never actually get to use the speed that service providers claim to provide. However, this survey also brought out the fact that though many stakeholders accept that speed is an important thing as far as quality of broadband is concerned, they also acknowledge that there are many other important things to be considered and people should not merely rely on speed.

When choosing mobile broadband, take a look at all the plans offered by the various operators, I found some excellent mobile internet pay as you go offers at Mobile Broadband Genie. You will be given all the information you need about each supplier on their comparative table of UK broadband providers to help guide you through the decision process.
